The short version. The desktop app is open source under the MIT license, and that license is all you need to use it. These terms cover the hosted part: your HarnessDesk account, the relay and the phone app. Use them fairly, and what your agents do is yours to answer for.
Who we are
The HarnessDesk service is run by VaultX Technology LLC (“HarnessDesk”, “we”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.
The software
The HarnessDesk source code is published under the MIT license. Nothing here limits what that license allows.
Your account
You need to be at least 13, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live. Keep your sign-in methods safe; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at hello@harnessdesk.app if you think someone else is using it.
Your agents and your work
HarnessDesk runs agents made by other companies, signed in with your own accounts with them. Their terms and limits apply to that use, and you are responsible for what you ask your agents to do and for what they do on your behalf. Your code, conversations and files stay yours; we use them only to run the service for you.
Fair use
Do not use the service to break the law or someone else's rights, to get into accounts or systems that are not yours, to send spam, or to overload or interfere with the relay or the service. Do not resell access to it. We may limit or suspend an account that does.
The service
We work to keep the service running, but it is provided as it is and as available, without warranties of any kind. We may change it, or stop offering part of it; if we stop the hosted service as a whole, we will give account holders reasonable notice. The desktop app keeps working on your computer either way.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, HarnessDesk is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or work, arising from the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50 if you paid nothing.
Ending
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may end or suspend an account that breaks these terms; where we can, we will tell you why first.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell account holders by email before the change takes effect. Using the service after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in San Francisco County, California, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them at home.
