Who we are

The desktop app

The desktop app has no telemetry. Your projects, conversations and settings stay on your computer, and crash reports are written there too, leaving it only if you send them to us. To check for updates, the app contacts GitHub, where its releases are published, and the public package registry where agents are published; they see your IP address, as any website would. The agents you run, and the accounts you sign them in with, belong to those agents' makers and are covered by their policies; we never receive those sign-ins.

This website

This website sets no cookies. Its host, Vercel, counts page visits in aggregate.

If you create an account

We keep your email address, your name and picture if your sign-in provider shares them, the id that provider gives us, the devices you link, a notification token for your phone, and sign-in records (time, IP address, device type) so you can manage your sessions and we can keep the service safe. If you sign in with Google or another provider, we use what it shares only to sign you in.

When your phone reaches your desk, the traffic goes through our relay, encrypted end to end between the two. We cannot read it and do not store it.

Who we share it with

We use service providers to host the service, store data, send email and deliver notifications, and they handle data only to do that for us. We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our users or of HarnessDesk, or as part of a merger or sale of the business. We may use aggregate data that identifies no one. We do not sell personal data, and we show no ads.

Keeping and deleting it

We keep account data while your account exists. You can delete your account in the desktop app, under Settings › Account › Delete account. That unlinks every desk and phone and removes the account, its sign-ins and its devices; it cannot be undone. To get a copy of your data, or if you cannot reach the app, write to hello@harnessdesk.app from the address on the account. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights; write to us and we will help.

Children

HarnessDesk is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly keep their data.

Changes

We may update this page. When we do, the date above changes, and for a significant change we tell account holders by email first.
